The 4th of July Committee held their annual fundraising dinner, auction,  and dance, February 2 at the Eagles Club.  The weather was perfect for the large crowd that attended.   After enjoying a pork loin dinner, all donated items went on the auction block.  Thanks to Ken Kline for handling the auctioneer duties.   The committee would like to thank all those who donated items for the auction and also to all those who purchased them.    We are looking forward to a fun filled three days of celebration in July.    Funds from the auction help to defray the expenses of fireworks and entertainment.

The 4th of July Committee held their annual fundraising auction on February 3, 2008 at the Eagles Club on Highway 34 East.  The doors opened at 6 pm with a $2 cover charge.  There was a  free will offering meal, with pork loin prepared and donated by John and Joy Pierce,  served at 6 with the auction following at 7.    Ken Kline auctioned off the many great items which were  donated by local merchants and individuals.     There was a dance after the auction until midnight djed by John Braida and Dale Rea.    The money raised at this auction will help pay for the entertainment and fireworks during the 2008 celebration.  The committee wants to thank all those who helped out with the auction in any way.  We are especially grateful for those who braved the weather to make this a successful event!
