Chief Jim Baker started November 1977 on the Chariton Police
Department. D.A.R.E.
officer and canine officer. Hobbies -
spending time with family, weight lifting and training police canine.
Police Clerk Susie Pillsbury started
November 1997 on the Chariton Police Department. Over sees record department. Hobbies - gardening,
needle point and quilting. Meeting all that come in the door with a friendly smile
is Susie.
Sergeant Kris Depner started
December 1979 on the Chariton Police
Department. Supervises patrol force and
department investigations. He is always ready to help other officers with his experience.

Jeff Johnson started January 1991 on the Chariton Police Department.
Field training
officer, defensive tactics instructor and firearms instructor. Hobbies - weight
lifting, softball, and golfing.

Paul Brown, 6 years on Chariton Police Department, Assistant field training officer,
bicycle patrol, Patrol Officer, Hobbies - Chariton Volunteer Fire Department, playing
sports and being an Iowa Hawkeye fan.

- Police canine started on the Chariton Police Department, June 1999. Tosca was 4 years old when she started on our
department and her breed is Belgium Malinois from
Our special weapons officer is showing how to get in position for a frontal assault.
Many of the officers train for dangers assaults that we all
hope will never happen.
Reserve
Officer Mike Goben, Has given
numerous hours to the police force. He works security at school activities and city
functions.
Reserve Officer Mike Anderson, Has worked several hours keeping the records up to date in our computer system and on surveillances.
