Railroad Park

Railroad Park is locate at Main Street and Woodlawn Avenue

Railroad Park is a small park that sits by the railroad tracks in Chariton. It's a nice place to enjoy lunch or to watch the trains go by.   

Trains have had a long history in Chariton, dating back to 1850, when the train track was put in across the south portion of Iowa. Trains run through Chariton all hours of the day and night still, carrying freight from all across the United States.
