Recreation Programs

The Chariton Recreation Department offers a number of youth programs.  The following are the current list of recreational opportunities:

Youth Soccer:  K-8th Grades.  Games played during the month of September.  Registration begins in early August

Youth Flag Football: K-4th Grades.  Games played during the month of October.  Registration begins in early September.

Youth Basketball:  K-6th Grades.  Skills and fundamentals taught on Saturday mornings from November through December. Registration begins in early October.

Swim Lessons:  3 yrs of age and up.  Registrations take place in late May.

 ‼️Youth Baseball and Softball are governed by private organizations (Lucas Co. Little League & Chariton Girls Softball Association) and 5th & 6th Grade tackle football is offered by a private organization.
